Attorney Steven L. Kennedy serves as Of Counsel to the firm, bringing more than four and a half decades of legal experience and seasoned judgment to its practice. He began his career as a Judicial Law Clerk to two federal judges in the Southern District of Indiana, one in Bankruptcy Court and one in District Court, and thereafter worked in the Indianapolis District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. He also worked for thirteen years as a Hearing Officer and Attorney for the Indiana Department of Revenue. Since then, he has had substantial private practice experience in the area of creditor’s rights, including consumer collections, mortgage foreclosures, and sheriff’s sales,

Over the course of his career, Mr. Kennedy has represented clients in a wide spectrum of matters, including civil litigation, criminal felony and misdemeanor defense, family law, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and consumer protection, developing a reputation for disciplined preparation and practical legal strategy.

In his of counsel capacity, he provides strategic oversight, case analysis, and mentorship support, offering the benefit of long-earned courtroom insight and professional perspective. His experience enhances the firm’s ability to approach each matter with depth, stability, and measured confidence.

Mr. Kennedy is admitted to practice law in Indiana, and also before the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
